Lead by our Principal Dentists, Maggie and Richard Elsey, the fantastic team here at Elsey & Elsey Dental Clinic are here to welcome you.

Richard Elsey
Dental SurgeonRichard trained at Birmingham and London and offers dental care to patients on referral and those registered to the practice. He lectures at Birmingham Dental Hospital and at practices in Bristol.
As well as providing preventative dental care and cosmetic dentistry, Richard has a special interest in dental implants for those patients with missing or damaged teeth that need replacing.
Richard moved to Gloucestershire in September 2000 and lives in a village three miles from Cirencester with his wife Maggie and their four boys.

Maggie Elsey
Specialist OrthodontistMaggie qualified with distinction from Birmingham University Dental School in 1990 and after four years of training, gained a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and a place to study Orthodontics.
She trained for three years in Birmingham and qualified as a specialist in 1997. Her first post was to run the Orthodontic Service in Dudley Community Trust.
Maggie later moved to Gloucestershire in September 2000 and lives in a village three miles from Cirencester with her husband Richard and their four boys.

Julie Simpkins
Dental Hygienist & TherapistJulie has been with us since 2004 and previously worked in hospital and community practice. As well as her hygienist and therapist appointments, Julie is able to provide dental treatment to both children and adults. Experienced with both complex cases and patients requiring dental implants, she also has the expertise to provide advanced tooth whitening. Julie oversees several aspects of our CQC compliance.
Outside of dentistry, Julie likes to spend time with her family and dogs. Her keen interest in animals stems from her time qualifying as a veterinary nurse after leaving school.

Naomi Maslen
Dental HygienistNaomi has been qualified as a dental hygienist since 2008 having previously worked for Richard as his dental nurse since 2002.
She qualified in Cardiff and now lives in Swindon with her partner and little boy, Jacob.
Naomi splits her time between 2 practices and being a busy Mum. She enjoys providing a caring and excellent service to her patients. She is qualified to take x-rays, provide provisional fillings and take impressions for patients which extends her role somewhat.

Jo Vaughan
Dental HygienistJo qualified as a dental Hygienist in Manchester in 1994.
She previously worked and trained as a dental nurse in the Midlands near her family home.
She now works in 2 practices and has extended duties in providing Xray services, taking impressions and the ability to place provisional fillings for patients.
Jo has a busy family life, living nearby and enjoys craft activities in her spare time.

Leigh Rendell
Dental NurseLeigh has been a member of our team for 5 years having had a break and come back to us in February 2014. Leigh is our senior Orthodontic Nurse, she qualified to take x-rays in 2006 when she was last working for us.
Leigh has always been involved in training more junior members of staff and also acts as treatment and oral health adviser for our orthodontic patients. Leigh is a local girl having been at school in Swindon is married and has two grown up children.
Like all our team Leigh is multi-hatted and is just as happy assisting placing dental implants as she is taking x-rays or assisting with orthodontic treatments.

Becky Cole
Dental NurseBecky is local to the area and gained her NEBDN qualification in 2014. She joined our team in May 2016 and has since extended her duties by completing the radiography qualification. She thoroughly enjoys dental nursing; in particular orthodontics and providing our patients a smile to be proud of. Her interests include walks in the Cotswold countryside and spending time with family and friends.

Tina Barton
ReceptionistTina began her career as a dental receptionist in a local practise in 2010 and has been at Elsey & Elsey Dental Clinic since February 2016. Having spent all of her working life as a receptionist she loves meeting and talking to patients reassuring them and making them feel relaxed. Away from work Tina enjoys walking her cocker spaniels which she bred herself and spending time gardening trying her hand at growing her own flowers and vegetables from seed.

Emily Dickin
Orthodontic TherapistEmily qualified as an Orthodontic therapist in 2014 and was awarded the gold medal in orthodontic therapy by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. As well as working in specialist practices, she has led seminars for new orthodontic therapy students and regularly attends courses to continue developing her own skills and knowledge. She is passionate about delivering excellent care to our patients in a relaxed, friendly and professional environment. She is a keen runner, enjoys countryside walks and is also qualified in sports massage therapy.
