Richard ElseyDental Surgeon
Richard trained at Birmingham and London and offers dental care to patients on referral and those registered to the practice. He lectures at Birmingham Dental Hospital and at practices in Bristol.
As well as providing preventative dental care and cosmetic dentistry, Richard has a special interest in dental implants for those patients with missing or damaged teeth that need replacing.
Richard moved to Gloucestershire in September 2000 and lives in a village three miles from Cirencester with his wife Maggie and their four boys.
Maggie ElseySpecialist Orthodontist
Maggie qualified with distinction from Birmingham University Dental School in 1990 and after four years of training, gained a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and a place to study Orthodontics.
She trained for three years in Birmingham and qualified as a specialist in 1997. Her first post was to run the Orthodontic Service in Dudley Community Trust.
Maggie later moved to Gloucestershire in September 2000 and lives in a village three miles from Cirencester with her husband Richard and their four boys.
Alison WilliamsPractice Manager
As a registered dental nurse and senior implant nurse, Alison joined the practice in 2006 and has numerous qualifications and responsibilities that cover dental radiography, dental sedation and dental implants. She has recently taken on the role as Chair of the local DCP (Dental Care Practitioner) group and organises courses and CPD for dental nurses, hygienists and therapists.
Her interests outside of Dentistry are her family, cats and new puppy and Alison even finds the time to fulfil her duties as a Girl Guide Leader.
Julie SimpkinsDental Hygienist & Therapist
Julie has been with us since 2004 and previously worked in hospital and community practice. As well as her hygienist and therapist appointments, Julie is able to provide dental treatment to both children and adults. Experienced with both complex cases and patients requiring dental implants, she also has the expertise to provide advanced tooth whitening. Julie oversees several aspects of our CQC compliance.
Outside of dentistry, Julie likes to spend time with her family and dogs. Her keen interest in animals stems from her time qualifying as a veterinary nurse after leaving school.
Naomi MaslenDental Hygienist
Naomi has been qualified as a dental hygienist since 2008 having previously worked for Richard as his dental nurse since 2002.
She qualified in Cardiff and now lives in Swindon with her partner and little boy, Jacob.
Naomi splits her time between 2 practices and being a busy Mum. She enjoys providing a caring and excellent service to her patients. She is qualified to take x-rays, provide provisional fillings and take impressions for patients which extends her role somewhat.
Jo VaughanDental Hygienist
Jo qualified as a dental Hygienist in Manchester in 1994.
She previously worked and trained as a dental nurse in the Midlands near her family home.
She now works in 2 practices and has extended duties in providing Xray services, taking impressions and the ability to place provisional fillings for patients.
Jo has a busy family life, living nearby and enjoys craft activities in her spare time.
Leigh RendellDental Nurse
Leigh has been a member of our team for 5 years having had a break and come back to us in February 2014. Leigh is our senior Orthodontic Nurse, she qualified to take x-rays in 2006 when she was last working for us.
Leigh has always been involved in training more junior members of staff and also acts as treatment and oral health adviser for our orthodontic patients. Leigh is a local girl having been at school in Swindon is married and has two grown up children.
Like all our team Leigh is multi-hatted and is just as happy assisting placing dental implants as she is taking x-rays or assisting with orthodontic treatments.
Kerry BodmanDental Nurse
Kerry joined our team most recently, started working at our clinic in March 2014. Kerry works part time but is upping her hours to 4 days per week working primarily as an orthodontic nurse.
Kerry has been a qualified Dental Nurse for 7 years and has recently passed her qualification exam to take x-rays and is now the main assistant for our orthodontic associate Lisa.
At her previous practice Kerry gained lots or experience in advanced surgical dentistry which has been a great help when helping out with our sedation clinic or implant treatment.
Kerry has two young children and lives in Cheltenham and
is originally from Gloucester.
